Eye Examinations
Many people think than an eye exam is needed only when their glasses need to be replaced. Unfortunately, that is not always true. Eyes just like the rest of your body undergo gradual changes as you age.
Unlike the rest of your body, your eyes rarely hurt when something is wrong. In the early stages of some conditions and diseases, your vision may not be affected. This is true of glaucoma, cataracts and complications from diabetes and high blood pressure.
Regular annual examinations are necessary to maintain healthy eyes. Dr. Ahmed will look for symptoms of disease during an examination, as well as any changes that have occurred in your vision since your last checkup. Early detection of any problem allows treatment to take place and in some cases, it can stop or slow a condition from becoming worse.
We offer a comprehensive eye examination that could uncover symptomless, potentially sight threatening eye disorders or diseases that are not found by a simple vision screening.

Contact Lenses
In the past decade contact lens technology has changed dramatically. With the advent of disposable contact lenses, bifocal contact lenses and most importantly newer materials, people who could previously not wear contacts can now enjoy them.
Our thorough contact lens assessment ensures that new and previous contact lens wearers receive a proper fitting and follow-up. Most of our patients will be offered trial lenses that they can wear period of time before ordering them.
Ensuring that you can wear contact lenses for a long period of time is determined by many factors, one of which includes monitoring the fit of the contacts as well as to check for any changes in corneal health induced by wearing the contacts. Get regular contact lens and corneal assessments and you will be able to enjoy contact lenses for a long time.

Laser Vision

Our Services
Children Eye Exams
Children need special consideration when it comes to eye exams. 80% of learning is visual and as such children need to have annual exams once they start school. We are fortunate living in Ontario in that the provincial government still covers eye exams annually for children. The screenings done in the school are not done with frequency and do not replace a full exam. We provide an inviting and fun environment for your children.
If your child does need glasses, our optical has a huge variety of glasses for your children to pick from, and we will ensure that your child’s first experience with glasses is positive one. We also provide contacts for children with special needs or for those who are actively involved in sports.
